GardenSite Scoops Two Midlands Enterprise Awards
The results of the Midland Enterprise Awards have recently been announced for 2021 and GardenSite.co.uk has been successful in two categories – winning awards for both ‘Best Garden Structures & Accessories Supplier’ and ‘Business Growth Excellence’.

The Midlands Enterprise Awards are open to any small or medium-sized enterprise in the region, whereby the SME coordinators research and assess information about the nominated businesses in order to recognise and acknowledge all of the hard work and ingenuity compared to their competitors.

The results of the Midland Enterprise Awards have recently been announced for 2021 and GardenSite.co.uk has been successful in two categories – winning awards for both ‘Best Garden Structures & Accessories Supplier’ and ‘Business Growth Excellence’.

GardenSite’s Chairman Robert Hall said:

Winning two prestigious awards this year is particularly pleasing due to the difficulties caused by the pandemic. This has been a tough year and the hard work of all our employees in overcoming unique difficulties has been rewarded in the best way possible.

He added: “Awards such as these are thoroughly appreciated. We are always looking to the future and we’re so pleased that the innovative methods we’ve used to build the business, and the efforts of everyone concerned, have been recognised.”

Nominees for the Midlands Enterprise awards came from a broad range of Midlands’ businesses and were assessed by the publication’s research team who were impressed by how well GardenSite adapted to changing circumstances during Brexit and the Covid pandemic, and their ambitious plans which include increasing their current range to over 20,000 products.

With outstanding success over the last twelve months selling garden buildings and structures, which includes their popular greenhouses and well-known brands of garden sheds, arbours, arches, summerhouses, and log cabins, all of which have grown in popularity, being partially fuelled by the recent Covid lockdowns and increased online consumer spending. GardenSite Partner David Coton was keen to explain to Dean Taylor, an SME awards coordinator, how the business has adapted during the pandemic.

David stated: “Cloud-based technologies have for example allowed seamless remote working and ongoing changes to process and procedures are helping to support demand and adhere to ever-changing government restrictions.

“While we still face many challenges both post-Brexit and as the pandemic continues, it has been clear to me how well everyone has worked together at GardenSite and our valued supplier partners.

Data on all of the nominees were presented to the judges, letting them conduct their own independent research to discover which of the businesses best met criteria such as client dedication and customer feedback, business performance and growth, innovation, online reputation, and longevity.

The Midlands area is well known as a high-commercial region within England, with GardenSite seemingly at its heart, providing thousands of home and garden-related products to hundreds of thousands of customers across the UK. GardenSite is a family-run, independent company that boasts an impressive offering – the number and breadth of their products together with competitive prices.

With over 20 years of selling online, GardenSite is one of the longest established online garden supplies retailers and, although technology might have changed since they first established in 1999, their core values have stayed the same –  trust, confidence, and outstanding customer service which is why the site boasts that it has so many returning customers.

David Coton adds:

Staff behind the brand are encouraged to get to know each product, the features, and benefits, and take a personal interest in every sale. These awards show that all this hard work, and the effort that is put in to ensure complete customer satisfaction, has paid off and will be the foundation for successful future expansion.

Other notable award winners in the gardening category include non-profit organisation Gro Organic; a team of passionate people who create outstanding green spaces within the community, winning the Community Development of Year Award. As well as Urban Gardener, an independent, Birmingham-based landscape service, receiving the 2021 award for Best Independent Landscape Design & Construction Company in the West Midlands.

We wish to congratulate GardenSite and all of the winners for this years’ SME awards. More details about the award can be found on GardenSite’s blog and the SME Awards website.
