“Explore A Better You” by Better Books introduces the future of children’s books with wise life lessons, portrayed through amazingly cute illustrations.
After a roaring success on Kickstarter with their last campaign, “Better Alphabets”, Have Better Books back to Kickstarter with its next campaign. This time, the company will be launching a new-age children’s book that aims to encourage the little ones to discover the wonderful person within themselves. Titled “Explore A Better You”, the book is written by Aditi Kabra.
“’Explore A Better You’ tells a story of being fearless, learning not to give up, and inculcating the goal to explore- all in 1 book, accentuated by a crazy cute art style”, stated Akash, one of the co-founders of Have Better Books.
The book revolves around Diya, a young girl, who is determined to find her craft and become who she wanted to be. On her journey, she meets the iconic Vincent Van Gogh who reveals to her his pearls of wisdom –
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together… You must trust the process.”
Next, she meets the great astronaut, Kalpana Chawla, who teaches her –
“You must enjoy the journey because whether or not you get there, you must have fun on the way.”
And after that, Diya also meets the legendary Bruce Lee who teaches her “to be nothing but fearless”.
“Children’s stories that are being passed on for years are always endearing- but there is a big problem. The glitch is they have not evolved over the years and modern kids find it boring after a point. As a result, the stories and the life lessons taught in them fail to create a strong impact on little kids today. This is where ‘Explore A Better You’ will come to help. We have layered our book with not only a fascinating tale but also with a playful cutting-edge art style that will help children visualize better and dream bigger.”
